Y4 students participated in an Egyptian Workshop about mummification organised by the
Civic Museums of Padua; the participation was preceded by in-class preparations, including the
study of the ancient Egyptian culture and their rituals. In this workshop students, dressed as ancient
priests, recited in the presence of the god Anubis, prayers, and invocations from the Book of the
Dead and revisited, between bandages, ointments, and incense, the salient stages of the ritual.
Finally, with clay and pigments, each pupil shaped an amulet (ankh).
