On Thursday, March 7th, EISP celebrated World Book Day. Throughout the week, Reception and Year 1 students enjoyed beginning their mornings with a story, while Years 2 to 5 participated in "Flash Reads". On World Book Day itself, the students shared their favorite books with each other, and performed poetry to another class. We were also fortunate to have children's author, Lia Varchol Perron, visit and inspire the pupils with her assemblies, sharing her fascinating books. You can read more about Lisa's work here.
In addition, some of the Year 11 English A students organized a World Book Day Drop-in event, where Middle School students had the opportunity to chat about books with High School students and share their favorite reads.
