World Book Day is a celebration, a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and most importantly, a celebration of reading.
Our celebration at EISP included many exciting and creative activities. Students competed for best costume in the Living Books competition, pondered upon our teacher's favourite books in the Guess the Teacher activity, identified challenging quotations in the library and many more. Students also had special lessons in preparation for our Creative Writing workshops on the 13th of March with the prestigious author, Ruth Eastham. As Joyce Carol Oates once said, "Reading is the sole means by which we slip, involuntarily, often helplessly, into another's skin, another's voice, another's soul." Let us all slip involuntarily into our World Book Day Celebration.
